A patent-pending suspension system strategically positions shock mounts to primarily absorb shear forces at the high-amplitude front end of the plate and compressive forces at the low-amplitude trailing end. This innovative system minimizes hand-arm vibration and effectively isolates all upper mass components, including the engine, from exciter-induced vibrations.
This lightweight plate weighing 174lbs (79kg) is easy to lift and manoeuvre around the job site. Accompanied by intense vibration this plate is ideally suited as an economical alternative for small to medium soil compaction applications.
The addition of a water tank to the plate compactor is better suited for tarmac surfaces. As the water is released onto the surface, the water stops the asphalt from sticking to the bottom of the base plate. This allows for a smoother and more seamless compaction process.
